Privacy
The person who runs this site runs this site for youth football coaches to tag, review and share their team's games among the team's coaches. This page says what it keeps, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. Questions or requests: write to eric@jaxoanalytics.com.
What it keeps
- Coaches' and parents' accounts: your email address, and when you last signed in; and what you tell it when you sign up, which you can change at any time (Menu › Your profile): your first and last name, your football club if you give it, your city, state and country, and how you heard about the site; and where you first came to it from (below, on cookies), which only the site's admins see. Your name is shown to the other coaches and parents in your teams.
- Teams: each team's name, its coaches and their roles, invites (the email address invited), its use of the online processing and storage.
- A log of what is done: who added, changed, moved or deleted a game, invited, took out or changed a coach, and started cloud jobs, and when. The site's admins see it; it's kept for a year.
- Which pages are used: the pages a signed-in coach or parent opens and how long each is in view, and the steps of getting started (adding a match, processing it), so the site's admins can see where people get stuck. It's kept for 90 days and never sent to another service.
- Games: the match videos coaches put here, and what is made from them: where the players were, tags, the squad list (players' names and shirt numbers), highlight reels and match reports. Each save notes which coach made it.
- Players' photos: when a coach adds a picture of the team's squad list that has the players' photos on it, the photos are cut out of it and kept with the team's squad, so its coaches and parents see them beside the players' names. They're only shown, never used to recognise anyone in the videos. Coaches can remove any of them, or all, on the Squad tab; they go when the team is deleted.
- A player reel's photo: the photo a parent or coach adds to the intro of a player's reel is kept with that reel, so the player's next reel can start with it. Only the team's coaches and that player's parents see it, and it goes when the reel is deleted.
The players
The videos show the players, who are usually children, and a squad list can name them. Players don't have accounts and don't use the site. A team's coaches are responsible for having the agreement of the players' parents (or of the club, on their behalf) to film the games and keep them here. Naming players by first name or shirt number is enough for everything the site does.
Who can see it
Only the team's own coaches, signed in. A team's games are never public and there are no public links; coaches of other teams can't see them or tell they exist. The site's admins see each team's name, its owners' email addresses and what it uses; they open one of its games only to look into a problem, as below. The person who runs this site can reach the stored files technically, and only does so to keep the site running, or when a team asks. When a coach reports a problem from a game's page and ticks the box for it, the site's admins can open that one game, to look into it, for two weeks. They can also open a game to look into how its video was processed, for two days, and its coaches are emailed when they do. Either way they see it as its coaches do and change nothing; its coaches see it in Team Settings and can end it, and each time it's opened is in the log.
There are no adverts and nothing is sold. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in, and one that remembers, from your first visit, the site that sent you here and the tags on the link you followed (like ?utm_source=instagram), with the page you landed on. It's kept with your account when you sign up, so whoever runs this site knows how people find it, and then deleted; it isn't used for anything else, and goes after 90 days if you don't sign up. If you followed another team's invite link, one more remembers that team for 60 days, so both teams get their extra games when you start yours; then it's deleted.
The services it uses
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the videos, the games and the teams.
- Clerk handles signing up and in: your email address, and how you sign in (a password, a code by email, or Google).
- Modal runs the online processing, Veo downloads and highlight reels on rented computers. The files pass through them for the job and aren't kept there.
- Veo: adding a match from a Veo link fetches its videos from Veo.
- The Jaxo extension for Chrome, if you add it: on Veo's match pages you open, it reads Veo's list of that match's videos and camera files, and hands it to this site's pages open in that browser when you add the match here. It keeps it only in the browser's memory, gone when the browser closes, sends it nowhere else, and reads nothing else.
- Stripe takes the payments for a team's plan. Card details, and the billing address and a VAT number when they're asked for, go to Stripe, never to this site, which keeps only the plan, its dates, its currency and Stripe's reference for it. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Resend sends the emails this site sends, like the one saying a video has been processed, or a parent's saying their player's highlights from a game are ready: your email address, the game's name and, in a parent's, their player's name, what they did in it and a picture of them from it go to it. Each of a parent's ends with a link that stops them.
- Anthropic (Claude) answers Ask about this game, writes the match reports and reads shirt numbers for Name players with AI. It is sent the game's tags, events and the squad list (players' names and numbers); and, when a coach uses Name players with AI, still pictures of the players cut from the video, to read their shirt numbers (never the video itself); and, when a coach adds a picture of the team's squad on its Squad tab, that picture, to read the players' names and numbers from and find their photos in it (the picture isn't kept by Anthropic or by us). See Anthropic's privacy policy. It also helps the site's admins: when a game's processing fails, it reads the error and the end of the run's log; and it drafts emails to a team's coaches or owners from the team's name, plan and use, which an admin reads before anything is sent.
- Moonshot AI (Kimi), a company based in China, may read the shirt numbers for Name players with AI, and the pictures of a team's squad list added on its Squad tab, instead of Anthropic, when the site's admins choose it. It is then sent the squad list (players' names and numbers) and still pictures of the players cut from the video (never the video itself), or the squad list picture (not kept by us). See Moonshot AI's platform and its privacy policy.
- Your own assistant, if you connect one (Claude, ChatGPT or another): it's sent what it asks for to answer you, from your own teams' games as you see them (their tags, numbers and highlights, the squad's names and shirt numbers), under its maker's own terms, and can make player reels as you can. This site keeps which assistants you allowed and when each was last used; take one back at any time on your profile.
- YouTube plays the app's how-to videos when you choose to watch one, in its privacy-enhanced mode: nothing comes from YouTube until then, and what it keeps on your device afterwards is under Google's privacy policy.
Deleting
- A team's owners can delete any of its games, a whole season, or the whole team. It's gone for everyone at once, and its files are deleted for good 7 days later (until then they can put it back), or at once with Delete for good.
- A coach can leave a team at any time. To have your email address removed from the site altogether, write to eric@jaxoanalytics.com.
- The site's records (teams, coaches' and parents' email addresses, the log) and each game's tags and positions (not its video) are backed up once a day, and the copies kept for up to a year, only to put things back after a fault or a mistake. Something deleted stays deleted: it comes back from a copy only if its team asks, or the site has to be put back after a fault.
- A parent who wants a video, or their child's name, taken off can ask the team's coaches, or write to eric@jaxoanalytics.com.
- Copies a coach has saved on their own computer aren't covered by this site.
Using the site is also covered by its Terms of Service.
