How to name your players with Claude in Chrome

Step 3 of 6 · 4 min read

Jaxo follows every player through the video and names the ones whose shirt number it can read. The rest wait for you: a number turned away from the camera, two teammates crossing paths. With our skill, Claude does that naming for you in Chrome, on your game's page, from the same video you see.

What you need

Add the skill to Claude

  1. Download the skill, a ZIP file, and keep it zipped.
  2. In Claude, open Customize › Skills, click +, then Create skill and Upload a skill, and choose the file.
  3. Turn the skill on with the switch beside it.

The skills you add to Claude are in Claude in Chrome's side panel too: there's nothing to set up in the browser.

Ask Claude to name your players

  1. Open the game on Jaxo in Chrome and keep its tab in front: the browser stops drawing the video in a tab behind others.
  2. Open Claude's side panel and ask: Use the jaxo-trail-naming skill to name our players in this game.
  3. Claude looks at the unnamed players a few at a time, in pictures from the video, and names each one from the shirt number it reads. Where a trail switches from one player to another, it splits the trail and names each part. An opponent, a keeper or the referee goes to their own side.
  4. When it's done, it tells you what it named, what it left and why, and any earlier names that look wrong.

It skips what it can't see

Claude only names a player when the video makes it clear, as a shirt number it can read. A number half hidden, two teammates bunched together, a player only ever seen from far away: those it skips and lists for you. So the names it gives are ones you can trust, and what's left is a short list rather than a whole game.

It can also answer the Join & split trails questions for you: "Is B the same player as A?"

Every change can be undone

Each name, split and move is saved to the game as Claude makes it, as yours are, and shows straight away. Ask Claude to undo its last change, or put a name right yourself as you always would.

What Claude sees

Claude works in your browser with your sign-in and sees the game page as you do, the players' pictures included, as part of your own Claude conversation. Use it for your own team's games, as your club's rules on video allow.
