How to name your players

Step 2 of 6 · 2 min read

Jaxo follows every player through the video, and names about half of them by itself, from the shirt numbers it can read. A few minutes of yours names the rest.

Check the shirt numbers it read

  1. Open Name, at the top of the game.
  2. Check Jaxo's shirt reads first, a number at a time. Untick any that aren't that player (the other team's player with the same number, say), then confirm.

Who is this?

  1. Press Name players. Who is this? rings one player on the video: check their shirt.
  2. If the number it read is right, press Enter. If not, click the player's name, or type their number.
  3. A new trail starts each time the camera loses a player, so the same player comes up again: name them again.
  4. If the ring isn't on a player, like someone in front of the camera, press Not a player.

A few minutes goes a long way

The longest trails come first, so you don't need to name every one. Then each player has their own heatmap, distance, top speed and highlights. Name your players after each game, and Jaxo learns them as you go.
